We did it! Our fantastic team of 12 ran Ragnar on July 19-20! Spanning 200 miles from Blaine, WA south to the Langley Fair Grounds on Whidbey Island, Team Julia had a blast running this crazy relay race for the advance of our research and benevolence work. Here’s what our founder Julia Pohlman had to say about the team:
So proud of and thankful for this AMAZING Ragnar team who ran 200 miles in support of Team Julia this weekend! I also want to thank all of you who sponsored and/or volunteered for our team. Support such as this speaks VOLUMES to those facing cancer each day. We race on!
Yes, Julia. We race on in endurance and hope.
We can’t say enough about how grateful we are to have done Ragnar with the team we assembled. Different walks of life came together and experienced a tremendous challenge with grace and laughter. Each runner and volunteer is a true inspiration to us. Thank you for your selfless dedication to such vital work.
On a lighter note, some of us are having Ragnar withdrawals. So we’ve decided to run 5.8 miles this evening as hard as we can, drive around Whatcom County in a minivan for a few hours, pull into a local high school and see if we can use their restroom and showers, and then set up a tent in an open field for a couple hours of sleep before waking up for a nice 8-miler, say, around 3:00 a.m.
Can’t wait for next year!
