John-IronmanCanada

John and his future Ironmen at the end of the race.

Team Julia is tough. That’s why we sent representation to IRONMAN Canada┬áthis year in Whistler, B.C. Building on the legacy of the 2010 Winter Olympics, Ironman Canada offered athletes a beautiful, challenging experience in a world-class venue – a fitting race as we strive to make Team Julia a world-class cancer charity.

Many thanks to you, John, and to your entire family for your incredible work in Whistler, and in the months leading up to it as you trained for this uncommon challenge. It’s hard to imagine swimming, biking, and running for the 11 hours (nice time!). The mental and physical fortitude it must have taken to accomplish this is nothing short of amazing. Congratulations! Not only did your participation in Ironman Canada raise hundreds of dollars for Team Julia, but your effort served as a tremendous inspiration for the Team!

Okay, John. What’s next? Bellingham Bay Marathon? We’ll ask Cynthia.
